Tourism is one of the most productive activities for Costa Rica, and has great potential to further contribute to the growth of the country and welfare of Costa Ricans. In 2002, the country received more than one million tourists coming mainly from the United States, Central America and Europe who seek to establish themselves in lots in costa rica. Costa Rica fishing is world famous. There are many different kinds of fish to catch because Costa Rica is bordered by both Pacific and the Caribbean waters. Costa Rica holds dozens of fishing world records. Imagine being out on a boat with your friends in tropical, crystal waters, surrounded by sunshine and fresh air. Sea turtles basking on the surface. Peace and quiet. Suddenly, your line squeals as the sailfish begins battling. If this sounds exciting to you, a Costa Rica fishing vacation could be something for you! Costa Rica Sportfishing is probably the fisherman's haven. It is just a dream come true for them. Costa Rica's Pacific ports and several beach resorts feature the best deep sea fishing in this side of the world. Remarkably, the northern Atlantic coast rivers offer another world-class snook and tarpon type of fishing. Costa Rica's main fishing season is December thru May although May thru August is considered the prime season for Sailfish, November thru March is considered prime for Marlin but depending on the weather we fish year round for Snapper. Wahoo, Roosterfish, Tuna, Dorado, Sail and Marlin. Since December thru May is the dry season the waters are usually calm, therefore fishing is prime. Our Costa Rica Charter Boats and crews have been fishing the entire Costa Rican coast since 1980 and this experience has taught us how when and where the fish are. |
